FIRST REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE AS AN AGENT

My first real estate experience as an agent was very profitable but very challenging. After the excitement of passing the State exam, signing up with a Broker (wow, was that a lot of work, deciding what company to work with), getting through the paperwork of being an agent, now began the real stuff. I was working at a law firm and one of the attorneys had a client that needed to sell his condo. This was a guardianship sale and asked if I would be interested in the listing. I was scared out of my mind. I did not know this was going to happen so fast. I couldn't say no. I had to say yes. This was the reason I got my license. I set up a meeting with the attorney at the property. I was terrified that I wasn't going to find the place and be on time. I couldn't be late for my first appointment. I knocked on the door and the owner opened the door along with the attorney standing there. Oh no, there was so much stuff crammed into this condo. The owner was also a nascar fan and every memorbilia that existed, I think was inside this condo. I was thinking, no one is going to buy this, you can't even walk through here. So I spoke up. said can we store a lot of these items in a storage facility? The attorney said "yes". That was great, now we were getting somewhere. Suddenly I felt very confident and started telling him what needed to be done to get this property sold. I was trying to vision this as something I would want to buy and just kept asking for things to be done. Needless to say in one week after putting this on the market, it sold. I was so happy. I was finally a Real Estate Agent and felt like one.
